Day 1 – Arrival & Transfer to Negombo
Arrive at Bandaranaike International Airport and meet your tour guide. Transfer to Negombo, a charming coastal town known for its fishing culture and sandy beaches. Visit the Negombo Fish Market and Dutch Canal, then relax by the beach and enjoy a beautiful sunset over the Indian Ocean. Overnight stay in Negombo.
Day 2 – Negombo to Sigiriya
After breakfast travel to Sigiriya, located in Sri Lanka’s Cultural Triangle. On the way visit the famous Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage where you can see rescued elephants. In the afternoon climb the magnificent Sigiriya Rock Fortress, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its ancient frescoes and breathtaking views. Overnight stay in Sigiriya.
Day 3 – Sigiriya to Kandy
After breakfast visit the Dambulla Cave Temple before traveling to Kandy. En route stop at a spice garden in Matale to learn about Sri Lanka’s spices and herbal plants. In Kandy visit the Temple of the Tooth Relic, walk around Kandy Lake, and enjoy a traditional cultural dance performance in the evening. Overnight stay in Kandy.
Day 4 – Kandy to Nuwara Eliya
After breakfast visit the Royal Botanical Gardens in Peradeniya. Continue your journey through scenic tea plantations and waterfalls to Nuwara Eliya, also known as “Little England.” Visit a tea factory to see how famous Ceylon tea is produced and explore Gregory Lake and the colonial town. Overnight stay in Nuwara Eliya.
Day 5 – Nuwara Eliya to Ella
After breakfast travel to Ella, one of Sri Lanka’s most beautiful hill country destinations. Enjoy the scenic journey through mountains and tea plantations. Visit popular attractions such as Nine Arch Bridge and Little Adam’s Peak. Spend the evening relaxing in the cool climate and enjoying the views. Overnight stay in Ella.
Day 6 – Ella to Yala
After breakfast leave Ella and travel to Yala. On the way visit the famous Ravana Falls. In the afternoon enjoy an exciting safari at Yala National Park where you may see elephants, leopards, crocodiles, and many other wildlife species. Overnight stay near Yala.
Day 7 – Yala to Bentota
After breakfast travel towards the southern coast to Bentota. On the way you can visit the historic Galle Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site with colonial architecture, cafes, and shops. Spend the evening relaxing on the beach in Bentota. Overnight stay in Bentota.
Day 8 – Bentota to Colombo & Departure
After breakfast visit a turtle hatchery in Kosgoda before heading to Colombo. Enjoy a short Colombo city tour including Independence Square, Gangaramaya Temple, and Galle Face Green. Later transfer to the airport for your departure flight.
