Day 1 – Arrival & Transfer to Negombo
Arrive at Bandaranaike International Airport and meet your tour guide. Transfer to Negombo, a lively coastal town known for its fishing culture and beaches. Visit the Negombo Fish Market and Dutch Canal, then relax by the beach and enjoy the sunset. Overnight stay in Negombo.
Day 2 – Negombo to Sigiriya
After breakfast travel to Sigiriya in Sri Lanka’s Cultural Triangle. On the way visit the famous Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage to see rescued elephants. In the afternoon climb the iconic Sigiriya Rock Fortress, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its ancient frescoes and panoramic views. Overnight stay in Sigiriya.
Day 3 – Sigiriya & Polonnaruwa Exploration
After breakfast visit the ancient city of Polonnaruwa and explore its historic ruins, temples, and statues. Later return to Sigiriya and enjoy a village tour experience including a bullock cart ride and traditional Sri Lankan lunch. Overnight stay in Sigiriya.
Day 4 – Sigiriya to Kandy
After breakfast visit the Dambulla Cave Temple before traveling to Kandy. On the way stop at a spice garden in Matale to learn about Sri Lanka’s spices and herbal plants. In Kandy visit the Temple of the Tooth Relic, explore Kandy Lake, and enjoy a cultural dance show in the evening. Overnight stay in Kandy.
Day 5 – Kandy to Nuwara Eliya
After breakfast visit the Royal Botanical Gardens in Peradeniya. Continue the scenic drive through tea plantations and waterfalls to Nuwara Eliya, also known as “Little England.” Visit a tea factory and plantation to learn about Ceylon tea production. Overnight stay in Nuwara Eliya.
Day 6 – Nuwara Eliya to Ella
After breakfast travel to Ella enjoying one of the most scenic hill country journeys. Visit the famous Nine Arch Bridge and climb Little Adam’s Peak for stunning views. Spend the evening relaxing in the peaceful mountain town. Overnight stay in Ella.
Day 7 – Ella to Yala
After breakfast leave Ella and visit Ravana Falls on the way. Continue to Yala National Park and enjoy an exciting afternoon safari where you may spot elephants, leopards, crocodiles, and many other wildlife species. Overnight stay near Yala.
Day 8 – Yala to Bentota
After breakfast travel towards the southern coast. On the way visit the historic Galle Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site with colonial architecture and charming streets. Continue to Bentota and relax by the beach. Overnight stay in Bentota.
Day 9 – Bentota Leisure Day
After breakfast enjoy a relaxing day in Bentota. Visit a turtle hatchery in Kosgoda and enjoy a Bentota River boat safari through mangroves where you can see birds and wildlife. Spend the rest of the day enjoying the beach or optional water sports. Overnight stay in Bentota.
Day 10 – Bentota to Colombo & Departure
After breakfast travel to Colombo. Enjoy a Colombo city tour including Independence Square, Gangaramaya Temple, and Galle Face Green. Later transfer to Bandaranaike International Airport for your departure flight with wonderful memories of Sri Lanka.
